In the constant search for new and interesting art and music, We all eventually hit a stale point in our own local area. It’s a simple matter of supply and demand. And music and art scenes have always had an ebb and flow relationship with the communities that have supported them. One such community that has recently started to blossom again after quite a lull is the southern Illinois music scene. Nestled in the Shawnee National Forest, the epicenter of this creative hotbed, Carbondale, has given birth to some pretty amazing rock and indie bands. While geographic isolation has let this area grow into the gem that it has become its time for us all to point our eyes and ears towards new and unexpected places like this to find our musical compasses. So when your bored on the internet trolling for new music, make a note of where your favorite new bands are coming from. You never know, you may have just stumpled upon the next Seattle or Omaha for music. let us know about your favorite undiscovered music scenes in the comments below.

Thanks to everyone who came out to The Clubhouse last Sunday. It was great to see old friends and meet a lot of new friends as well. It felt good to get back on the stage and hear all you guys clapping and cheering. We hope you enjoyed the new songs and want more. After months of hard work and preparation, we will playing some new tunes for fans at The Clubhouse in Tempe, AZ on Sunday June 13th. We take the stage at 8pm. We will be opening the show for “nerdcore” artist, MC Chris, who is most well known for his work on the Cartoon Network show “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”.
